Todai got bored so decided to start a blog on some programming topics. I posted my first entry just now. It's here on Medium, if you are interested. I'm looking to continue witting about more programming and technical subjects this year.
I wonder if we would be able to host the forum, running and funding it ourselves? I and a few other tech savvy nzggers could probably spin up a small ec2 instance on AWS to host the forums, if we had a copy of the database.
Just been told it will cost $110 per hour to work on my car... there's no way mechanics should be earning that much. Let's say two guys work on it at $20 per hour (being generous)... that's $40 labour costs. How do they justify $110? Businesses are ripping us off big time.
Try fixing it yourself and see how far you get. It costs a lot to run a business.
Goof sh*t biscuit. Is it a programming role with space for growth?
Yup. My current role has heaps of potential for growth inside the company, but the systems are archaic and everything is proprietary, making me useless to the market otherwise. This other opportunity is the complete opposite. Everything is new and valuable.
