Unless you're talking about really really old books? In which case yes, they can smell a bit musty.

currently reading Doomsday: 50 visions of the end of the world. God its making me depressed. When death from global warming and an impending ice age are numbers 43 and 44 on the list, its makes u think well wtf am i supposed to do now. I dunno, read the next, hopefuly brighter and less painful vision of the end of the world i guess ^^

Holy crap - forgot I had that, will have to re-read that next lol!

I'm about 1/4 through Dean R Koontz's 'Watchers'. Looks like it could be a very interesting wee read. :(

I just started The Once and Future King series by T. H. White. Some of the dialogue in this book (the first one is The Sword in the Stone) is so funny!

I reckon I'll take Tim Winton's The Turning away with me next week too, in case the kids fantasy buzz gets a bit much and I need a break. Short stories are always a great way to do it. Every Wellingtonian should read Not Her Real Name by Emily Perkins; best short story collection by a New Zealander for sure.

I'm reading Guinness World Records 2006; did you know the first FPS is Wolfenstein, and the 1st computer game is called Spacewar made in 1961. and GTA vice city is the best selling ps2 game. ^_^ :(

I'm currently reading Foundation by Isaac Asimov, The Resturaunt at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams and Ender's Game by Oliver Scott Card. Next up will be Foundation and Empire by Isaac Asimov and A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin.
