Here's a quick rundown of what 'Tripod' is:

'Tripod' was created by Weta to celebrate the Wellington film industry. So just them, then.
Now, for the special features. If you look round the side of each of the legs, just a little above head height, you might notice a familiar shape.

Of course, this could all be coincidence, right? I mean, maybe N64 controllers simply looked good?
However, if you look on the back of each leg, you will find one of these:

There's something different on each Game Boy. We tried to take pictures of the one with New Zealand on it, but the lighting was bad because of where the sun was; so we settled for this one instead.
So there you have it, the secret Nintendo parts of the famous Tripod. Miyamoto would be proud. Maybe Tripod could be a selectable character in the next Super Smash Bros.?
