I think I'll be getting it. The last Fifa I bought was Fifa 15, which I still play (mainly career mode).
I played the demo of 18 and quite enjoyed it, definitely a lot different from 15, especially the graphics.

PES this year for me, bought both last year but the gameplay in FIFA bored me to tears last year and it doesn't look like much has changed. Plus when I lose in PES I feel like I could have played better; when I loose in FIFA I feel like I've been robbed and just want to throw the controller.

And master league stomps all over career mode.

Let us know how ML goes, bud.

I might pick up PES sometime, but FIFA usually keeps me occupied for the duration.

My early FIFA18 impressions are so-so.

I'm still getting used to the slight changes in the gameplay.

Loving it so far, ive noticed that even though ive set game speed to slow its still pretty fast? Similar to normal on 17 possibly. Might be just me. I have learned that release clauses are evil things. Man utd stole Luka Modric from me..

I'm constantly being opened up, the new defensive side of the game is pretty ruthless.

Which is always interesting, cos the-every-game-white-wash is lame.

I find the new difficulty is pretty good.

It is challenging again.

Sometimes insanely so.

One thing that I find super annoying, and have since the beginning - is that the AI make no errors at the higher levels of difficulty.

As well as the mechanics that they have said they got rid of many iterations ago 'ala, the 360-no-scope passing' is still in the game.

-That is the perfect passing from any angle, body position, in every situation. Which is ridiculous.

Though this sounds negative, I'm enjoying what I've played.

Been playing a bit of UT, I have scored a Sergio Aguero card. Very stoked.

First time I have scored a card of this value.

The fact I can actually use it in my squad, pretty stoked.

Just got this on Switch and loving it! I know nothing about Football but the FUT, career and training modes are great fun.

I'm only 7 matches into FUT, should I be buying bronze or silver packs? Or saving for gold? I see special Halloween packs but no way can I afford them.

I miss having the Squad Battle mode, sounds like a great earner.

I don't buy packs at all, unless I am rolling in coins.. Or if there are special packs.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with bronze and silver packs, cos they're not worth the investment.

It always helps to know a little about the different players and clubs, but for the most part the player ratings say most of what you need to know.

The main thing to look into is getting that chemistry rating to 100%

What I do is pick a single league or nationality and build a team based on that.

That way, if you have all 11 players in their preferred position you'll have 100% chemistry.

I always start out by buying a low-ball gold team, made up of low or bargain priced gold players.

Play some of the low division single player seasons, and make sure you have a coin booster on (which you unlock from the catalogue)

Thanks. Somehow I've managed a full starting Argentinian team (mostly bronze), though the reserves are of mixed nationalities, and my manager is also of another nationality (I don't even know where he's from lol). I'm only like 10 games into the FUT but started listing things on the transfer list.

So you reckon I should stick with this or try another squad of mixed nationalities?

I'm also using the 4-3-3 formation after a quick google, but not sure if it's the best. Any advice?

I'm only making like 400 coins per match at the moment and they are tough! Between my team being substandard and actually just not being good at the game, I've had the odd loss, but most of my games are draws with a couple of wins. Man the first comp I played was insane - racking up like 14-0 wins, so this is taking some getting used to lol. Really makes it worthwhile when you finally score though!!

You can make several squads, in the squads menu.
So you can still have the Argie squad.

The new squad battles are pretty good to get some decent rewards when the competitions end.

Might be a little hard with a bronze team, especially when you're playing some powerful squads - but you can choose your difficulty level so you can still get points.

Hmm, a few good Argentinian gold players to get for your team would be Lanzini (CAM) and Pereyra (CM).

If they fit in your formation that is.

You could get them for less than 800 a piece.

They work for me anyway.

Best bet is to have a browse in the transfer market, make sure you find out what the reasonable price is for a target before you buy it - saves money that way.
Try get the right positions filled.

I don't play FUT as I'm just not very good at it, so I stick to the career mode which lets me pretend I'm good it. :P

Fair play Rob,

Feels like the gameplay is tweaked in FUT, and it just crushes me.
Career mode is more my style as well, just a shame that they put less effort into improving that mode.

Guess the money maker  will always be the priority.
