Friday the 13th game is good fun but only can go up to 8 players sadly. Keen on CoD when it's released.

And only reason I opt out of games is because I have them already. Would be good if there could be a little more variety if possible

I dunno what their prize pool consists of but maybe a multiplayer game that came out in the last 6 months or a $30 voucher so you can put it towards your own choice.

I don't own BF1 & don't plan to but it has a big following the same with any racing games which are very limited on PS4.

I would be very keen for a $30 voucher as a prize. Would avoid what happened last yoobee where I won the prize, realised we already had it, nobody else wanted it and I couldn't exchange it for anything else so nobody got anything....

Maybe update the nzgamer group chat on psn every two week... post link to this site and make sure they post and attend the night to qualify for prizes :)

Yeah the NZGAMER group on PSN is never updated. I saw Potatoe did it the other day which was great, but you have over 500 members in there that probably never visit the forums. Depends if you want the games nights to be only those that are forum regulars? or try get some randoms?

Byrdman's given myself, Potato and Brett moderator status on the PSN community so we're now able to change the Message of the Day and be a little more active on the page. I'd love it if Sony allowed more than 8 people to join a community 'event' as well, so we can make Yoobee nights more visible.

I'd also like to encourage everyone here to post their own stuff onto the Community; making it more active will encourage others to do the same thing!

Whatever the game, it really needs to be a multiplayer game with a significant number of players.

This is the main reason why we tend to gravitate towards GTAV, Rocket League and Battlefield 1. They're games that we know will get at least 10 people.

It's a risk to host game nights with titles that don't have a lot of visibility here on the forums, because we may only get 4 people signing up for a night. What we can do is grab a bunch of suggestions for video games (outside of the three that I mentioned before), we can get a poll running with a list of the games and everyone can vote on the games they want to see next. If a game gets a bunch of votes then it'll make sense to make a night for it.

The best games are the ones that don't require a lot of grinding to play with others, so RPG-centric games might not be the best to do.

Here's a few games that we could put on the poll:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  • The Crew
  • Battlefield 4
  • Battlefield Hardline
  • Destiny
  • The Division: Last Stand
  • Driveclub
  • Elder Scrolls Online
  • FIFA 17 kidding nobody cares about Fifa
  • Injustice: Gods Among Us
  • Killing Floor 2
  • The Last of Us: Remastered
  • Minecraft
  • Overwatch
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
  • Project CARS
  • Rainbow Six: Siege
  • Star Wars: Battlefront
  • Table Top Racing: World Tour
  • Titanfall 2
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
  • WipEout Omega Collection

There are also a lot of games that are Free-to-Play which can be downloaded as well:

  • Blacklight: Retribution
  • Hawken
  • Loadout
  • Paragon
  • Paladins
  • PlanetSide 2
  • Warframe
  • War Thunder
  • World of Tanks

List any games down below if you feel like I've missed them.

That could definitely work if enough people have it. I did put up Injustice cos it was December 2014's PS Plus game so I'm sure a lot of people would have it.

Kill zone shadow fall is another suggestion. Games like ESO and the crew and driveclub and battlefront are cheap as chips to buy now either digital or trade me etc so If I dont have them and they are likely to go on a rotation and are cheap I'll buy anything

Just putting up my hand to say I'd play a GT Sport when it comes out. Further more, I will start posting on the community page more often, try to get some of the GTA stragglers there on board and help them build up their levels by offering to help them grind.

Everyone can get the ps+ version of driveclub for free anyway so that could be an easy way to get a big night going?

The Last of Us, Killzone Shadowfall or Destiny would be pretty awesome older games that probably already quite a few people own.

I think to attract and keep new players engaged with the community the prize incentive has to be there. A few of the last community nights have had TBC as one of the prizes up until the day of or a few days before the night. Now that doesn't affect or bother myself or probably most others who just come for the enjoyment of an organised night where the prizes are just an added bonus but people who aren't already regular forum members who see that will most likely be put off. Were it a game they didn't own, really wanted or was a PSN voucher as someone suggested it would be much more enticing.

I don't know how all the background organisation is run so maybe that was a temporary issue which has since been resolved and I'm not meaning to criticise anyone just wanted to offer some feedback.  ;)

I'd suggest looking into Project CARS 2 as well. Gameplay's looking great and we'll almost definitely be hosting some nights on that.

I can't remember when I sold Killzone. It was definitely ages ago though

Drive club is free?

A watered down version of it was available in the latter half of 2015. I can't remember if it had crossplay with the full version or not though.

Can you make a poll in these forums where people can select multiple options..?  If not, this might not return the result we'd like, as peeps will be forced to only select their favourite.  The games I've left from your list are those I have that I'd join in for, with additions beneath in red.  What's the player limit on Minecraft..?  ...& what could we do in it - a huge Youbee/NZG sign/symbol?

I'm planning to do a multiple choice poll as that will allow us to find out what the most request games are.

Minecraft only has a max lobby size of 8 players, but there are some PvP battle modes.

I've played snowballs etc. a few times with the kids - it's fun, but think after a few rounds it'll grow old pretty quick.  Just a thought: maybe PvP would be better as a pre/post-night lobby for the main event where we could have a "sandcastle" building competition in Minecraft (locked to either survival, or creative & probably in a super flat world so it's fair for all) where we construct something & have everybody judge everybody else's work, so rather than spot prizes, we'd end up with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd..?
