WHERE IT ALL BEGINS

Set in mysterious Ancient Egypt, Assassin’s Creed® Origins is a new beginning. Experience a new way to fight while exploring the Great Pyramids and hidden tombs across the country of Ancient Egypt, and encounter many memorable storylines along your journey. And discover the origin story of the Assassin's Brotherhood.

A FULL COUNTRY

From deserts to lush oasis, from the Mediterranean sea to the tombs of Giza,  Fight your way against dangerous ancient factions and wild beasts as you explore this gigantic and unpredictable land.

GIZA & MEMPHIS
MYSTERIES OF ANCIENT EGYPT

Positioned near the mouth of the Nile Delta, Giza and Memphis are home to the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Egyptian capital during the old kingdom. Explore the tombs and catacombs in search of the area’s lost secrets and dark tales. Decrypt hieroglyphics as you solve riddles and slowly unravel the foundations of this ancient Civilisation.

SIWA
THE AGONY OF EXILE

Discover the agony of exile while walking among the poor souls of the Siwa Oasis, one of the loneliest and most isolated places in all of Ancient Egypt. It’s situated below sea level, making the climate hot and dry, and less-than-ideal for would-be scavengers. Still, there are temples, and even a necropolis, which means there’s plenty to be uncovered if you can handle the discomfort. Be careful as you traverse the barren sands, however, you may find yourself losing your grip on reality.

NILE DELTA
LAND OF PLENTY AND DANGER

The Nile Delta is a land of plenty. And danger. The fertile lands where the Nile River flows into the Mediterranean Sea are the source of abundant life. Here you’ll find farmers tilling the land, growing the crops that keep the surrounding cities moving, and the soldiers and brutes who exert control over the people. What else will you find exploring these grounds?

FAIYOUM
THE DISPUTED LAND

Faiyoum is another one of the many oasis lands in Egypt. It was once a great sea, but is now home to the bones of great, ancient whales. It’s also home to an abundance of history, that can be found throughout the land.

REBUILT COMBAT

Experience a completely new way to fight as you loot and use hundreds of weapons with different characteristics and rarities.

With the new combat system, fighting in Assassin’s Creed® Origins has been fully redesigned around weapon hitboxes and positioning rather than timed animations, giving you far more control over every combat encounter. Since your enemies have that same new freedom, it means you’ll have to consider the positioning and timing of your attacks more than ever before.

In addition to a revised combat system, the new Adrenaline Gauge allows you to build up energy as you fight, giving you the ability to unleash devastating finishing moves on your enemy.

WEAPON RARITY

MEMORABLE QUESTS

Dive into a new adventure every time you play, with each quest telling an intense, emotional, and memorable story.

NEW QUEST SYSTEM

STORIES AS DEEP AS THE SANDS

There’s far more to Assassin’s Creed® Origins than the brotherhood’s origin story. Throughout your journey you’ll come across many intense, emotional, and memorable stories that paint a larger picture of the world and its people. Spend as much time as you want exploring side quests or play straight from start to finish.

There hasn't been much chatter about this one here.

Who played it?

Who enjoyed it?

It may be my second fave after black flag. Loved it start to finish except when I wanted to do story missions but was underlevelled.

Platniumed it last week. Loved it from start to finish. The world is massive, yet I never got sick of exploring it. Personally, its my favorite AC. Bayek is my favorite protaganist of the series. But the best thing of all was the missions werent always a matter of going here, follow this guy, kill, repeat.

I'm thinking about it, kind of. I haven't gone back to Assassins Creed since Brotherhood.

I still haven't finished Black Flag! Might be keen to play Origins eventually but would like to finish Black Flag first.

You definitely should Outlaw. If you've been gone thus long it'll be awesome.

Finished this last night, it does drag a little towards the end, there is almost too much content and not enough variety to sustain it.

Still, it's the most fun I've had with AC since Black Flag and the main story is pretty decent.

It's also gorgeous especially on XB1X (and presumably PC/PS4 Pro).
