i want to play an online FPS deathmatch game but have been out of the "scene" for about a decade.

I like unreal3, but cant find any sub100 ping servers with people on them.

i like quake live, but dont want to play clan TDM, would love to play free for all but the oz FFA servers are allways empty.

any suggestions?

No matter what you play nobody is really about FFA. Quake Live is all CA and dueling, Reflex is all dueling, same with Warsow/CPMA/whatever else. Have you tried Unreal Tournament 4?

Wow, i new about unreal4 being fan created, but i had not realised it was actually playable and free!  but i cant find any australasian servers with people on them.  I reinstalled ut2k4, and was amazed to find four australian servers that i ping 50 to - but they are allways empty.

Oh well, back to loadout on the ps4 - at least with ps4 theres no online hack players.

Isn't Loadout dead?

Devs got no money for new content, and barely enough money to keep the servers up. You're gonna have to keep looking because that game has a mortal wound and its only a matter of time.

Well i sold the pspro, upgraded the pc and now im back to being a pc gamer.   Its funny, my PC is about as grunty as a pspro (16GHZ cpu, 2048 shaders), but games that ran at 25-30 fps on the pspro run at steady 60 on my pc.  And even after 4 years of using a console controller i still couldn't aim anywhere near as well as i can on a mouse.

By my historical standards my ping to Australian servers (55ms) is awesome, but i still cant find an online FPS deathmatch that suits.  Unreal is ok but the servers are always empty,  Toxikk is utterly awesome - but the servers are empty,

Quake Champions early release is apparently also dead on the Australasian servers, and im not spending $55 on a slim chance that it doesnt suck...

So, is overwatch my only option for an online fps shooter? - are there any other games in that style that have a healthy Australasian online scene?

I have a spare Quake Champions beta key, back from the closed beta, but I'm not sure if it's still redeemable.
