I had no interest in the last one after the beta, as no story mode but if it has a Single Player ill probably grab it when its on one of EA's massive $15 or less sales that they do.

Release Date: 17/11/2017

Dark-armored troopers stand beneath the smoldering remains of the shield generator on the Forest Moon of Endor. Their faces turn skyward to the distant menace of the Death Star looming overhead, a symbol of order in a war-torn galaxy. Like the Empire itself, the colossal battle station stands immutable, impregnable, and eternal. And with a flash of white, it explodes into a midday star.

Welcome to Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II, with a new story mode taking players on an epic journey from the battle of Endor to the rise of the First Order. The prequels, original trilogy, and new era meet in a vast multiplayer adventure coming November 17 to PlayStation 4®, Xbox One, and Origin on PC. If you're a member of Origin Access or EA Access, you'll be able to start playing on November 9.

Heres a pic of the four classes. I don't know what each one is exactly, but I'm 90% certain.

From Left to Right.

Specialist, Heavy, Officer, Assault

These are examples from each era.

I know the first one wasn't that well received but I had a lot of fun with it and have still been playing it every now and then. It definitely could've had more features but I thought it was a fun little shooter. I didn't get it at launch so didn't pay full price so wasn't too disappointed.

But this looks like it builds on everything that was in that one and adds things that were missing. Won't be preordering but I'm sure I'll pick it up not long after launch.

Don't like that the deluxe edition already unlocks stuff though.

"One day after our interview, EA reached out to ask us to withhold the confirmation that there won't be a Season Pass for Battlefront II. The reason, we were told, is because they couldn't definitively say whether that would be the case, despite what Diemer said and expounded upon."

It's not confirmed yet, lets just hope they do away with the Season Pass, and next year's Battlefield also ditches the Premium Pass.

Whats wrong with a Season Pass if you are going to buy the DLC anyway? It just means you get a bit of a discount over buying it individually. If you dont know what all the DLC will be or you only want a single piece, you have that option. The only thing I dont like about it is when theres also "Season Pass Exclucives"

Yeah Battlefield 1 Premium Pass wasn't revealed until 2 months before release either, so things can still change between now and November. Let's just hope they stick to their words and not do a Season Pass :)

Remember when Patrick Bach (I think?) from DICE was making fun of Call of Duty Elite / Season Pass when Bad Company 2 was out, they said something like "we would never split the community, we believe maps should always be free etc" then like 3 months later...introducing BATLLEFIELD 3 PREMIUM PASS.

Anyway I'm glad they're not going to have a season pass but I'll believe it when the game is released :P

Problem with Season Pass / Premium Pass in games like Battlefront & Battlefield is that the DLC Packs also contain the maps, which splits the players leading to a fragmented community. Finding a server a month after a DLC release that has the new maps is also very rare, which sucks cause I paid for a map pack that I can't even play anymore after about a month.

The other issue with server selection is, there is never any official servers that run both original maps shipped with the game + the DLC maps, it's one or the other. They can't have official servers that have all the original maps + all the dlc maps cause then anyone without DLC won't be able to join at all.

Right now on Battlefield 1 the official servers either has the 10 original maps on rotation, or you get the "They Shall Not Pass" servers that only have just the 4 DLC maps on the server. Now wouldn't it be nice if by the end of the 4th DLC pack for Battlefield 1, if all the servers had all 26 maps on rotation, then have map voting at the end of the round, this would only happen if maps were free for everyone.

Ofcourse you can always rent a server on your own, then have both original and DLC maps on rotation, but then you run into another problem where your rented server just doesn't get populated with players cause people don't pay for maps, and they can't join your server.

I'm not against paid DLC, but the current system for Battlefield and Battlefront just doesn't work.

Ahh I see what your saying, I just assume that No Season Pass just means no Bulk Bundle, but they will just charge for seperate Map Packs. I didnt consider for a second that EA would offer Free Map packs lol.

I've always hated that about Map Packs. Right back to when I played Halo and used to buy the Map Packs. Never used to be able to get a game on them unless we did a LAN.

Always feel ripped off when I've purchased Season Pass/DLC packs and then rarely ever get to play a game on them. I ended up buying Premium for BF4 when it was on sale and I don't think I've played half of the DLC maps for that game.

So if they find a way to not divide the multiplayer community I'll be all for it.
