I still play; even if only once a week. It's nearly been three years of ACNL!

Just started a new town after a long layoff, so looking forward to getting addicted again.

ACNL is receiving an update in the spring to add Amiibo compatibility. You'll be able to invite your favourite villagers using the Amiibo Cards and there's also supposed to be unlockable furniture from other Amiibo.

I'll finally be able to get Stinky back in my village :D

This looks really interesting but not quite the kind of game I'd normally purchase. I have a charizard Amiibo - will I be able to do anything with it if I had the game? (edit, found the compatibility list, nope)

Is there like a hub or multiplayer aspect at all?

You can exchange friend codes and invite others to visit your town to have a look around and exchange items and such. There's also the Dream Suite so you can share your town without worrying about people destroying things.

There's an island that you can travel to to play minigames with friends or strangers but that's as far as it goes for multiplayer.

ok., thanks. Went into EB but they didn't have it, grabbed Zelda OoT and Mario Kart 7 instead for now. Will keep an eye out for sales coz it does sound really interesting.
