All i know is they made a bunch of maps dlc in the CE anniversary release. So weird that they are pushing Halo for this BC when we have the perfectly good MCC *ducks* but seriously, is this their solution?

Probably thinking that the vanilla experience is much better than the 343i bug-ridden one. Fair call. I expect Halo 2 MP to come back when they launch Xbox OG BC if this is what 343i are doing with the series.

Slight issue with that.

Halo 2 Servers were shut down a few years ago.

So what if they were shut down, there's an opportunity for them to be brought back online in Microsoft Azure. And I doubt it will be any major feat anyway.

Yeah I own that one at least. SSFIV says unavailable when searching on console but not on the website. Still $50, when I had all the content on Steam, not sure I'll bother again.

There's something weird going on, it said $50 for me too (even though I know I got it as GWG) but then I clicked on a different version link thing and it came up as free.

Hmmm. I'm now seeing ssfiv $49.95 then the AE update $20 and the Ultra update $20. Lame lol. Free would be nice, wish they had just done Ultra for the One!

The rate of games coming to backwards compatibility has slowed down a fair bit. Anyone have an idea why?

Finally Fable Anniversary has been made Backwards Compatible. Bought this about a year back when Harvey Norman had it for $14 after it being 'leaked' for BC. Happy now that I have all 3 Fable games and can play through them for the first time :)

if I have an American friend buy me a backwards compatible game that isn't available in our market place, can I redeem it on my NZ account? Or do I need to switch regions to redeem?

Try it - it probably won’t work though, so you will then need to migrate your gamer tag from NZ to USA region (can do it 9nce every 90 days)

I have done this a few times, and had no things go missing, but it does warn about this possibility

I haven't looked back migrating my Xbox One to the US region. I've even created a US paypal linked to my YouShop address in order to make purchases on the US store and you definitely get access to some pretty wicked deals.

Not sure if you organised anything for it yet or not but if you're signed up to Xbox Game Pass one easy way to play it is to change your console region to USA and download NGB for 'free' through that. :king: That's how I played it. There's actually quite a few cool games not available on our Game Pass. Thank goodness for easy region changing.

Even easier would be if they removed the barriers. Madness! I guess with talk of walls and so much of the world in a pretty crazy state at the moment, that seems unlikely.

Licensing issues. It's always licensing issues... It's cheaper to region-lock as vendors here have interests owning exclusivity rights to this stuff.
