Hey guys,

Heard great things about the trilogy,as i have just reaquired a PS3 this game seems right up my alley.

I can find Mass Effect 2&3 but struggling to find the original Mass Effect for PS3.

(if this is wrong place for post please let me know)

Does anyone have for sale Mass Effect 1 or all three games, bearing in mind I can get ME 2&3 for $25 off trademe at the moment.

Cheers

Russell

Hi Rusty,

as far as I'm aware, ME 1 is only available digitally here. I bought it off PSN.

I think Bioware also released the trilogy physically on PS3 (incl. all DLC maybe?), but that's the only way to get a physical edition of ME1 - it's not sold by itself.

If it helps ME2 contains a comic style story which gives you the decisions from the 1st to choose from so you can start ME2 the same as if you played ME1
I skipped ME1 & can't say I've ever had the urge to go back & play it

Thanks Scuba Steve, i am usually a completionist and didn't want to miss any of the story. Nothing worse than starting a second game in the series and feeling like you're missing the plot / story.

It occasionally shows up for between 4-9 dollars on the PSStore whenever EA has a sale, I'd wait for that. If not you can get it in a disc but it came in that trilogy pack, which included all three games. Might be harder to find

I can understand this. You will be in for a treat with the Mass Effect Story.

In the sale that started today on the PSStore, Mass Effect 1 and 2 are 7.95 each, and ME3 is 12.95 or 11.66 if you have PS+

At least you have it now to keep trying to download?

Yeah, I'm gonna have to wait until next month with the cap though.  Twenty-two gigs in 1 day. :D

Same here, well it got to 11GB / 11GB and all of a sudden it started to re-download.  I think I am going to contact PS Store and complain.  I do have 80GB of data but I don't want to risk wasting another 11GB if it is going to do the same thing.

Anyone else had this issue, not happy paying for a product that doesn't work

Also can't seem to find a contact link or email other than a phone number which is Mon to Frid

Apparently, the way to stop the corruption thing is to use a cable instead of wireless.  When April happens I'll give that a go. :)

Well i booted the PS3 up last night and saw two Mass Effect files. The first one said corrupted data. I opened the second one and it started to install.

Bit of time later I'm playing Mass Effect :-). Maybe check your PS3 for another copy of the file

I bought all 3 games from PSN on sale too. No download problems. Also bought ME2: Arrival and planning to buy most of the ME3 DLC. Finished ME1, and really loved it, now halfway through ME2. Awesome games :)

(And hi Russell!)

Edit: ME2 was an excellent game, so polished! although the story wasn't quite as epic. Now halfway through ME3!

I bought two copies of the trilogy bundle so I am all good for the first one, I go them through all every year and am always pleased by how much fun it always is.
