Noticing how many vegetarians/vegans there actually are among regular users of the forums I thought it is about time we had a thread where we could share recipes and helpful links and for anyone to post up questions about stuff (whether they are vegan/vegetarian or not).

I (or anyone else that has the power to do so, ie mods and ambassadors) will edit this first post with helpful links and recipes that you all share.

Useful links:

Cruelty Free Shop - This place has got you covered for all those hard to find vegan things. Anything from cosmetics to lollies to health supplements. All vegan friendly. Super fast service and really well packaged.

Recipes:

Cauliflower buffalo wings! - Solid wee appetizer that's surprisingly satisfying. Also works with BBQ sauce.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits - garlic scones drizzled in butter.

Slow Cooker Baked Beans - Bonus, soaked beans can be thrown in the ground.

Magic Dough - Good versatile basic dough.

Island Rice Pilaf

Jamie Oliver Falafel Wraps

Lentil and Spinach Lasagne

Yea, I have that feeling too. Really I'm just lazy and want one place where I can look for recipes SLAF has posted up. :D

Also, awesome Straw! I'll be waiting, unless it's between the hours of 8pm-10pm, then I'll be playing Forza. :)

ohhhh snap.

also, just realized the buffalo wing recipe can be done as steaks too. buffalo steak + fried pickles + lime mayo or ranch sounds like a pretty good combo to me...

Well I'm in no way shape or form a vege (unless you count animals as merely "processing machines") but I'm looking forward to trying some of these recipes, some of them look pretty f***ing good

As part of an all round health drive, my wife and I started having 3 vegetarian meals a week. This was 2 years ago and it's still going strong. We have a variety of cookbooks that we leech off for recipes but my personal favourite is the River Cottage Veg everyday written by Hugh Fernlea-Whittingstall. It's got an amazing pinto bean chill with the all the trimmings and the Vegeray is to die for. Strongly recommend.

Doesn't matter if you're vegetarian/vegan or not. Everyone can enjoy the yumness.

Good idea tom, didnt realise you were a veg.

Cheers. Yea, have been a vegetarian for about 5 years now. I'm a bit of a vegetarian plus extras (or minus extras depending on how you look at it), as don't consume dairy or non-free range eggs.

We're gonna get some hens (3 or 4), egg problem solved. Going to get hens saved from battery farms so feel like that will be doing double goodness.
