Thanks. I just really wanted to see the knock out.

If SBW could actually box and wasn't a show pony then he would have KO'd Botha as well.

I think Parker's management want SBW, but I'm 99% sure SBW won't front up. They already said they wouldn't consider matching baby Joseph with Tua, but maybe Shane Cameron. I think Cameron would be a bit too risky at this stage of his career. If he lost his 0 this early, all the hype surrounding him would be gone. Having said that, I think he needs to step up in quality of his opponents. He'd take the Australian belt with ease, but I think he'd get better exposure if he gets back to Vegas as soon as he can.

I think he would be wasting his time with SBW, we both know SBW is not a boxer. He is a great athlete no doubt but he aint a boxer.

I think you are right with the Vegas thing. He needs more exposure. All due respect to Tua and Cameron, but they are not going to raise his profile half as much as winning fights over in the states and putting yourself out there could lead to him being signed by a bigger promoter and then who knows from there....

Highlights,

some solid punches, cleaned him up.

Promising, but yea.. Has to step up a class.

Better to go over to the States.

Stays here, he won't get exposure or real challenges.

There's this middleweight rising star from Kazakhstan called Gennady Golovkin who's fighting this weekend (Sunday in NZ). Dude's got insane power for a middleweight, I've only watched his last 3 fights, but from what I've seen, he has the best chance of dethroning Mayweather if they ever met at Light Middleweight. Apart from the guy who's challenging him this weekend, nobody wants to fight him except the lazy pothead, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Just watch this:

He can't speak English very well lol:

edit: why do youtube videos not play on NZG anymore?

Just from looking at that, the dudes got form.

He's not super quick, but he's dead accurate, picks his punches and follows them up very well.

The dude I mentioned above just demolished his opponent in 3. He made it look sooo easy, I'm actually gonna conclude that he'd beat Mayweather up at light middleweight!

How many times is David Tua going to come out of retirement..
Saw him on Jono & Ben @ 10.
Good laugh, but I have read that he may be a few fights off a title shot.
Which seems so insanely soon.
SBW has dropped sack also it seems, don't blame him.

Who is that? Whats his record?

I see that Bradley is going to fight Marquez. Should be a decent fight. I thought that Marquez had retired....

Yeah Tua just doesn't get the message. He should have called it quits after the losing to Barret. I say he's dreaming if he reckons either Klitschko will actually take him seriously, even if he beats this "top 10" (more like top 40 lmao) heavyweight. Vitali was just being his usual nice guy self when TVNZ rang them up lol "anything is possible"..

Gennady Golovkin, remember that name. He's 27-0 (24 KO's). Basically EVERYONE is ducking him at Middleweight. The WBA, IBF and WBO "champs" are avoiding him like the plague! I know he'd destroy them all, he's just that good.

I think Marquez will beat Bradley and get robbed like he usually is lol

Man.. September 14 is going to be a BIIIG night for boxing!

Not only is Floyd taking on a legit, undefeated champion; there is a huge fight on the undercard which will determine who the best Junior Welterweight is in the world! Most of you guys wouldn't have heard of a guy named Lucas Matthysse, but he's currently 34 Wins (32 KO) and 2 Losses (1 loss was widely seen as being a robbery). Anyway, Lucas is fighting Danny Garcia - a guy who KTFO Amir Khan, Erik Morales and beat Zab Judah over a month ago. This fight is gonna be more entertaining than the main event IMO, because it seems highly unlikely it will go the distance.

I still want to watch Floyd put on a boxing lesson and see if he starts showing signs of aging. Expecting him to lose a few early rounds then Canelo gasses out and Floyd pot shots him all night. The fight could very well end in a knockout.

Must book dat PPV!

For anyone interested the Canelo v Mayweather 30 minute build up shows have started on Sky.

This fight is going to be fantastic. For the first time ever i actually don't mind if Mayweather loses. You have to pass the torch on at some point and Canelo looks like he could really help the sport of boxing regain its popularity.

We will probably never see Pacman v Mayweather but this fight might just be the closest thing to it.

Since this is the boxing thread...anyone here actually do boxing at a gym? Whats it like?

Begged my parents to let me start Kickboxing-->Muay Thai
Then I said just boxing??

Answer was obviously no...

I do wear glasses (-5) and it's not ideal for boxing, have been in fights but never actually been to a gym to try it out *sigh*

Even had my contacts ready lol.

Should be one of his closest fights for a while.  Probably a UD.

After seeing the Marquez knockout of Pacman i am a little hesitant though. Canelo has the power and speed so Mayweather can't get too cocky.

Maybe it is just me but before almost every Mayweather fight i think this will probably be the one that finally beats him and then once they get in the ring time after time Mayweather schools his opponent.

If Canelo does win it would make for a fantastic rematch and really ignite boxing. But i really don't want Mayweather to lose his perfect record....either should be good.
