I'm going to go for the platinum in this, have been whoring B Spec the last few weeks, just about finished that now.

All that remains for me is to gold the Vettels in A Spec and do a few enduros.

Oh and one other thing. 1000 cars. Can I ask a favour and ask for people to send me cars when they sign into GT5? I don't really care what car it is, as long as its not karts (don't want 500 karts in my garage). That would be grand.

Will do my best to remember to send you my double ups.
Plus I looked at your stats..... you need all gold Licenses too.....................

Vettels was hard... well the 1st and 3rd event anyway...
Monza was easy.... just cut the chicane like a boss and it should be done easy

Oh yeah licenses will be easy though.

Yup have golded Monza with that technique :P got within a second on the controller at Suzuka. Will try with wheel, meant to be way easier with the wheel.

Its 100 times easier with the wheel. Golded Suzuka last night after 3 hours straight driving, had three straight attempts that were between 2 10.04 and 2 10.07 :/ (needing a 2 09.99999 or better)

The challenges are probably one of the hardest things in gaming this generation, can't think of anything else that requires the same level of concentration

I found them and the grand tour challenges the hardest. The time trial with the alfa an the day / right race with the lambo took me a while

Yeh I never managed to finish the Red Bull challenges nor one of teh Grand Tour ones. They pretty much put me off bothering to try for the Platinum.

Grand touring put me off for a while and same with getting to level 40 (this before seasonal events, double xp) plus getting 1,000 cars. It takes like 20-30 seconds to get one car. (this taking 8hrs of your time, just to buy 1000 cars)

A key improvement for this game would be the ability to have a checklist of cars and clicking "buy all", after ticking off the ones you like. Same with items when upgrading your cars

For ages I thought I would go for the Platinum but then I tried the Vettel challenges! Wish I had a racing wheel.

Woah you got all the golds just like that??! Must've been a hell of a zone. I just get angry when I play these days.
They haven't changed the target times or anything, have they? :P

Yeh Brett, I was impressed when they implemented the little "ticks" beside cars you already own though; that made things a lot easier. My 1000 ticked over by itself just becasue I was surfing the used car dealership trying to collect all the cars :)
I still don't know if I have them all... but it's been very rare for me see one without a tick for a long time.

Nice job on Vettle Golds: Was some good XP from that too I think.

@ Cogi: the ticks were possibly the best addition to the game - made it a lot easier to get all cars.
I think I have all cars... I must be missing some but as you said - very rare to see a car I do not have.

I hope their is some feature so in the next GT, I can use my cars from this one lol

Yep even the jump from silver to gold pays approx 2.5 million XP. Its at least a million just to get bronze.

What a beast of a platinum to have. Might give it a crack one day but would need to invest in a wheel for sure

A wheel made my plat a lot easier that without one I reckon. More fun too. Only thing is B spec takes forever, especially the trophy for making one b-spec driver reach the peak of his career. I think I had to do another 100 or so bspec races after getting to level 40.

Got my platnuim on 3/11/2011 at 18:01 :D
was a happy time

Finished all B Spec stuff now bar the Formula GT. Oh and the career trophy, that could take a while.

^^Nice: If you can't gold all the formula GT on b-spec - it wont stop you from getting the plat (aslong as you can get them all in a-spec)
I never did the last A-spec 24hr race, but since I got it in b-spec: I still got the "gold every event" trophy anyway: Im sure its the same with the other way around.
yeah: the career trophy - I think I just put my most used driver into many many sunday cup races in the rebull haha.

... the straight line helped though!

if the Red Bulls are easier than the braking, they must've changed the target times... I should go check it out.
