Up to episode 8. I too know the spoiler Oreo is referring to. Sucks balls but I know that the author of the books loves killing people. Been rewatching LOTR again recently so kinda interesting too see it happen to him again hahaha

I just watched the tenth episode, which is also the final of the season. Such a great episode. I was absolutely giddy throughout, with scenes from the book playing out before me. The final scene was incredible too!

Now for the long wait until season two...

I'm more worried GRRM will die before he even finishes the book series. :(

Just watched the first episode and loved it, the ending made me unhappy.

Feel foolish for not watching it sooner.

Watched Cripples, bastards and broken things, what an absolutely brilliant way to finish an episode.

Watched the last 7 episodes today, it is WAY easier to follow the story that way, there are so many names and families and factions its hard to keep up week to week.

I'm glad I haven't read the books, and to be honest I don't want to. Not just due to spoilers, heh, but because honestly, it is yet another parochial medieval world.

One of the main reasons I got away from fantasy; is that authors will create their characters and plots, but everything else is the same old generic swords and kingdoms bullshiz. If they can have dragons, they can have female heirs to the throne..

I watched the first episode seemed a bit sh*t to me, but I've heard a bunch of good here and in the office. Will watch some more later this week.

What was it that you didn't like about it? I found that the first episode was pretty strong in introducing some of the plot threads and managed to keep things on track despite the amount of stuff that had to be introduced.

I'd say the first episode is pretty indicative of the rest of the season..

Game of Thrones has been the best show on tv atm. Never read the books but wish i did after watching season 1. Gripping story, great production as far as effects, costume and topped off with decent acting. 9/10

I just finished the first season and started reading the first book. So far they are almost word for word exactly the same.

No urge to read the books, while I enjoy the TV show, the generic swords and fantasy setting has put me off the books, and besides, spoilers!
