Why don't you just print all the ones you want and put them in sleeves?

Cool. Hopefully they have a good selection of energy, Pokemon (and evolution) and trainer cards for you to work with. If you wanted a really easy way to learn to play, you could also play with the trainer kits.

I bought the latest Sun/Moon one (Alolan Raichu x Lycanroc) 2-3 months ago and it's pretty good cos it acts as either a teaching set to play a "rigged game" that teaches the rules etc. and you can combine the 2 30-card teaching half decks into a full deck to play with. Also has a paper playmat which has the layout of the table and the turn order/actions etc handy.

My sons grown out of using it cos he knows the game better now, so if you're keen we could sell it to you for like $15 if you're interested. Will give you enough cards between the 130 u have and the trainer kit to have two full decks I would think. And my son could buy a booster pack or two with the pocket money lol

Yeah it was good to learn how to play. Everything there and ready to play from the start. Other way would be to buy two theme decks but that's double the cost I guess...

You can always play the online version and it has a training feature to show you how to play. Plus you can get a crap tonne of packs to help show you range and strats etc

If u wanna play the other issue is you need to worry about deck rotation - current rotation for 2018 season is cards from breakthrough onwards...

Be prepared to drop some serious coin then. Some of the nationals dudes I know put every dollar they make into it, though admittedly it was easier with Sun/Moon as for some reason they decided to keep every booster lay out the same so those who figured it out early managed to get nothing but good cards.

And that's the stance you'll take unless you make nationals. Then it was the plan all along right?

Lol. Good luck cos most decks will want at least one Tapu Lele GX for draw support and consistency... a $60 card by itself... this game is expensive. Been building my sons deck and have spent at least $150 so far to get the stuff in his deck. He still got wiped at his league cup last weekend hahaha...
