So, since we're all friend here, and since a lot of people often ask for advice, I thought I would make a thread were people can ask for help. No limits here, I suppose. You can ask serious questions -- "Should I break up with my girlfriend?" -- not-so-serious questions -- "Should I break up with my girlfriend because she didn't like Watchmen?" -- or trivial questions -- "What should I eat for dinner tonight?"

Ask away! :P

Haha, my missus is full-blooded Chinese and she can't play any instrument. She's okay at Rock Band drums though. :P

Probably, I can only think of one Spanish horror flick. Jap horror tends to suck anyway. Generic and boring sh*t for the most part.

French do it best.

I remember watching Ring and being utterly bored. Random too, as I read the book years afterwards and it's heaps better and far more scary.

Ju-on got me, but that's about it. Scariest movie I've actually seen isn't even a horror movie.

And that is?

Ju-on is the best Japanese horror :P.

Also, I liked the American version of the The Ring more :P

Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Nah, in all seriousness it was Alien. Of course, I was six when I first saw it. Those f***ers still haunt my dreams.

Haha.

Nice choice. You can acutally mount a valid argument that the film is a horror movie. It's got all the horror conventions... just in space.

Scared the hell out of me when I was younger as well. Watched it at a mates house then we slept in a tent in the backyard. Half awake most of the night getting freaked out by possums.

LMAO! Nice. My Dad showed it to me when I was younger. He was all like "Check this out? It's awesome!" I don't blame him since given his age (34 at the time) I would probably do the same kind of thing. Maybe...

Yeah, it could be a horror movie but I'd argue its more gothic than horror. Kind of like the difference between Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil 2. You should be able to appreciate what I'm saying. :P

Haha yeah I understand that. Although my knowledge of the gothic genre is very limited.

I just know for sure that as far as atmosphere and suspense is concerned, Alien is one of the best. But goddamn if that creature isn't one of the most unholy and terrifying concepts ever to come to fruition. Would much rather take on Jason Voorhess or Michael Myers than risk going up agains that thing.

They're making a prequel if I recall correctly. With Ridley Scott at the helm.

Actually, I'm lazy. What should I eat now I'm home? I'm sure none of you will be replying in time for me to make a decision, but I'll ask anyway.
