I don't play for a club or anything... But I used to play alot of backyard cricket with my cousins....

During the 90's and early 2000's, I used to lie on the couch all day with the fan directed at me watching cricket on Channel 1 then TV3 when it was live free to air during the summer when it was too hot to go outside...

Man I miss those days... :P

EDIT: in reply to about Bond a few days ago

About time, as good as Bond is, he is unreliable. He has been plagued by injury for ages. I think the point where the body has had enough was passed a while ago for him.

Cricket has to be the hardest sport in the world to understand.I used to play as a kid.as a participant, it's fun.We have a cricket team and have some immigrant players from many cricketing countries with really impressive backgrounds.

I used to play a couple years back, going to try get back into it later in the summer time for my local club. Its good fun when your good at bowling and batting, otherwise there is some long waits sitting on the grass.

How about these Black C*aps aye!!! Just horrible, horrible stuff to watch. Flynn, Jeets and Franklin should never wear another Black Caps shirt again. How the heck is Jeets at 10, he is worse than Martin! I hope Taylor is loving this!

Glorious shots from Watling btw!

Normally have it on in the background. Was quite surprised we beat them in the one day match. I thought we could upset them in the 20/20 so was slightly disappointed by that. Glad we have a couple of wins in the bag though.

NZ are going to get thrashed in the tests.

What do you guys make of the South African cricket team? Best you've ever seen?

For me the Australian team of the early 2000's is still the best ever.

Amla: No 1 Test and ODI batsmen
Steyn: No 1 Test bowler

Not bad is an understatement :)

The only real weaknesses in the SA test team are:

Get a better opening batsmen than Alviro Pietersen, get a better spinner than Robin Pietersen and find a better number 6 than Dean Elgar.

Those aren't massive problems but it is one of the reasons why people need to settle down when they say this SA team is one of the best ever, it isen't. But it is a vert, very good team.

Agreed. But hopefully we will play better than when we played SA. Some of the new talent like Rutherford show promise.
