Anyone planning on getting it? I sure am, played the trial thought it was great. Also with its extremely good reviews so far it seems completely worth the price.

What does everyone else think about it?

Bought it the day it came out. If you're a fan of any of the 2D Metroid games it's right up your alley. It's not terribly long, I beat it in six hours, but the extra challenges to play with less or all of the equipment adds some replay value. I'm going to start replaying it tonight actually.

I play Metroid Zero Mission every few months just for giggles and I have a feeling that Shadow Complex will be the sort of games I play over and over as well. Totally worth the price.

**EDIT!**
I should note that six hours was beelining to the end, took me a few more to find everything. Some of those expansions and items are really tricky to figure out

People keep bringing up Metroid & Castlevania when talking about this title but I don't know, from the footage it looks more like Rearmed rather that Metroidvania. And it looks a little sterile too.

Hope it comes to PSN or PC. Doubt it's worth getting a 360 over.

Well i got the full version now, freaking awesome game. There is some flaws, but I guess when the gameplay is so damn good and fun you can overlook them.

Also Deflok, I can't really say if it is like them or not since i sadly have barely played the Metroid or Castlevania games. But everyone seems to say it is like them, meaning it probably is.

Played the demo. I thought the first part with that black guy was weird. But then once it got on to that other guy finding the chick it got more interesting. I'm not sure if I'll buy it though.

The first bit did feel odd, but once you get into it the game becomes so much better.

Myself and a few other mates played it Friday night. Was pretty good!
My mates are old time gamers so loved the platformer feel to it, didnt do it for me i got a little bored.
Looked nice though and was interesting style of play.
Looks like the guy from Uncharted and is the Uncharted guys Voice.
Plays like Metroid apparently.

Tried the demo and yeah looked like a good game, but not really my alley, i prefer regenerating health nowadays and I boycott all orson scott card books because he is a right wing nut job, so i should probably extend that to video games he is involved with too.

God how did i know you would be one of these kind of people?

The game is based off his book empire. No different to Spiderman 2 being based off a movie. Say you boycotted Sam Raimi, would you then boycott Spiderman 2? He didn't even write the script to the game. Peter David did.

He just said he doesn't like games without regenerating health. No need to make a big deal of it. ;)

I actually think it's a nice change to not have regenerating health.

I can see why, more Metroid than Castlevania. Metroid meets Another World meets Metal Gear Solid?

If I liked the game, I would have looked into it more, so what exactly what his invovlment in it?

I can see that it is a well crafted game, i't just a bit too old school for me, and I suck at old school.

The only involvement Orson Scott Card had with this game was the a bulletpoint on the "box" to make it seem like a bigger deal.

He didn't write it, he didn't have any creative direction, it was all Chair and Epic's involvement and it it loosely "based" on Orson Scott Cards book Empire.

Indeed. Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Uncharted and Shadow Complex. Seems he likes doing voices for climby/jumpy/platformy games...
