Checked out Disjointed after watching Death Note today, its by Chuck Lorre of Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men fame so I was expected it to be full of stale jokes and the audience laughing at nothing or lists of references like they do on Big Bang. But to my surprise it was actually pretty funny, Kathy Bates was great in and actually made me laugh a fair bit. It does take a good 5-6 episodes for them to really hit their groove though which is a shame as part one only has 10 episodes so by the time they get into their groove you run out of episodes. Worth a shot if you like pot humor.

Is it sweary?

Been trying out some SyFy shows recently, started Dark Matter and had to give it 4-5 eps before grew on me - kind of borrowed a lot from Firefly but now it has become it's own being, and some of the sci-fi ideas are really interesting. Can definitely see the increase in budget from the first season,  the early sets/locations were nasty cheap. The script can also be a bit hokie in places, but most of the cast pull it off well. The 3rd season just finished up and has me really hanging out go the 4th (if re-newed).

Also tried Killjoys, another SyFy show - even seems to have less of a budget than Dark Matter id early on so makes hard work of becoming immersed in the world, but both shows are an easy watch after the kid's bedtime when i can't be f*cked actually watching something set on Earth.

Also knocked off the second season of Top of the Lake - worth a watch especially if you enjoyed the first.

Finished The Mist finally, what a sh*t load of f*** that was. Had its moments but my god. That season finale... it undid every single thing the season had set up and I seriously mean every single thing so we just had 10 episodes that amounted to nothing. We didn't get a single monster throughout the series.

Stranger (2017) - 9.5/10

This is a Korean Crime/ Drama/ Thriller I found on Netflix 2 days ago, I've had some time off work and watched all 16 episodes (1 hour each) and it was so damn good! They had a good, strong plot, long episodes and managed to wrap everything up in that season. Highly recommend.

I didn't know Silicon valley season 4 was out either, any good? been really hard to get back into it.

I finished the latest season of Bojack Horseman, started off great, ran out of juice halfway IMO.

Yeah I'm enjoying it a lot aye. I watched the first five episodes over the weekend and will finish it up this week.

Also getting through Orange is the New Black, which has not been very good so far this season.

First episode of The Orville wasn't too bad but just more of the same from MacFarlane.
