well, early impression of it is that it sucks

so far this year;

Thrice = Sucks.
AFI = Sucks.

Prelude 12/21 is cool although a tad odd.
Kill Caustic is pretty good aswell, as is Miss Murder.

Its definately lost the pace of previous AFI albums and given their pace was my favourite thing its a bit sh*t. Davey doesn't seem to push his voice very much on this album either.

Maybe this prooves that money doesnt = good sound, given their sh*t on Nitro > their sh*t on Dreamworks or whatever the f*** they're on these days.

Playing the songs without Daveys voice you'd be pressed to know the band - yet all their old stuff you could easily identify them by Jades ripping base or hunters lead. freck even the drums have gone to hell.

GRRR

im sad that AFI have turned sucky. sad.gif

The album is over produced.
Theyve gone for a more poppy / electric sound, which is funny, because thats what everyone is doing, you can thank the lead singer of Glassjaw, and his new band ' Head Automatica for this general travisty in the pop punk industry rolleyes.gif

A huge upside, Anti-Flag and Rise Against's new albums are the f***en sex!
Anti Flags was produced to a level theyve never done before, and is still awesome \m/

Didn't mind the new Thrice album, although it isn't anywhere near the brilliance of their past CD's. Will give the new AFI a listen when it hits and let you know what I think.
